The Senior Vice President, Acquisitions will be
responsible for identifying and acquiring content for Neyius Media across all genres and assist in delivering growth to the business.
Working in tandem with the organization’s technology, product,
operations, marketing, PR, etc. teams, he/she will collaborate on content initiatives across Neyius. He/She will build and lead a
world-class strategy and acquisition team and foster a culture of collaboration and innovative thinking. The Senior Vice President will report to the CEO.
Pay Rate: $170,032 per year

- Responsible for evaluating programming opportunities for use on the Entertainment for Neyius Media.
- Deliver against specific revenue targets for new programming.
- Establish and maintain relationships with content owners and distributors.
- Oversee the documenting and tracking of deal points.
- Manage a large-scale acquisitions budget.
- Partner with Finance to create proformas and coordinate completion of financials across Sales, Research, and Programming in order to close profitable content deals for the portfolio, creating new ways to structure deals, brainstorm unique ideas for making offers and closing deals.
- Work with CEO and General Manager to manage approvals for high-priced content deals.
- Be the expert on new distribution technologies and have extensive knowledge of competitive marketplace.
- Understand the evolving streaming & digital landscape and be able to translate these changes into our upcoming offers and existing deals.
- Work with Legal to understand any language changes in our contracts and revise standard deal memos as needed.
- Work with internal key stakeholders (marketing, PR, development, operations, ad sales) on content opportunities.
- Attend market and industry events when appropriate, as well as screenings.

He/She will also be a highly respected player in the marketplace, with impeccable relationships across the media and entertainment ecosystem and a reputation for being a tough but honest broker and business partner.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience within the media and entertainment industry, specifically within content acquisition and co-productions within either the film or television.
- Demonstrated successful track record as a skilled negotiator who can both set up and close deals and the ability to interpret and compile contracts.

- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a highly successful acquisitions organization; responsible for all acquisition activities, including evaluating content mix and suitability, financial analysis and forecasting, and deal negotiations.
- Experience having established and managed a large-scale acquisition budget.
- Deep understanding of research and data sets and ability to synthesize that information to optimize the acquisition strategy.
- Ability to closely monitor performance of content across networks and leverage that information to inform new acquisition and renewal strategies.
